We understand that choosing the right school can be a difficult task and we want to answer your questions to the best of our ability. Please see below for commonly asked questions and our responses. What is the Typical Class Size?

One advantage of the UMS approach is our strict adherence to classroom enrollment limitations to ensure effective instruction can occur. The maximum size for academic classes per grade level is:

K-5th Grade: 16 students per classroom
6th-8th grade: 18 students per classroom
9th-12th grade: 20 students per classroom

Some elective classes may exceed grade level numbers for the benefit of effective teaching or the functions of the course. However, emphasis on instructional excellence will be maintained at all time.

What is the Schedule for Students?

K-2 must attend 755am - 3:00pm on Tuesday & Thursday

3-5 must attend 7:55am - 3:10pm on Tuesday & Thursday

6-8 must attend 7:55am - 2:46pm on Monday, Tuesday & Thursday

9-12 must attend 7:55am - 2:46pm on Monday, Tuesday & Thursday

Does my Child have to take a Full Load?

Besides K-2, a student can enroll in 1 class or take a full load.

Are Your Teachers Certified?

Our teachers are either Certified or experts within their fields.

Our staff consists of 24 teachers of which 14 have Masters & 2 with Doctorates.

What do the graduates from University Model schools say about how well high school prepared them for college?

Graduates from University Model schools report overwhelmingly that they were extremely well prepared for their freshman college classes. The schedule, work ethic, and necessary study skills were dynamics to which they were already accustomed. Secondly, they were prepared academically as the UMS course content was consistently more than adequate to prepare them for college. It also has not been uncommon for many UMS graduates to begin college with several college credits already on their transcript, having placed out of certain courses by virtue of their high school preparation.

Are colleges accepting students from University Model schools?

What makes them attractive to colleges over other students?

Students from University Model schools have had no difficulty gaining entrance to colleges and universities nationwide. Academic staff stay informed of the current and projected entrance requirements of the major four year universities, allowing school officials to be sure that the University Model school course offerings are meeting or exceeding college entrance standards. In addition, University Model school students are attractive to colleges because of their strong work ethic, successful study habits, leadership skills, and character as demonstrated through various student activities - academic, athletic, artistic, and governmental.

Is there a Discount for Multiple Children?

Yes, we offer discounts for enrolling multiple children.

The 2nd child is 10% discount and 3rd & beyond is 20%
