Wait one hour to remove bandage, then wash thoroughly with mild soap.

Do not re-bandage, if absolutely necessary use a sterile bandage or gauze.

For at least two weeks minimize exposure to the sun, and do not swim in fresh, salt, or chlorinated water.

Properly cleanse tattoo with mild soap three times per day.

After cleansing your tattoo rub fragrance-free lotion (Lubriderm, Aveno, Nivea, Jergens) onto tattoo until absorbed.

If tattoo looks dry, apply lotion as needed, at least five times per day.
To achieve the best results from your new tattoo you must follow a few guidelines for at least two weeks.

No grease like vaseline or baby oil.

Apply antibiotic cream or A&D ointment as advised by your artist.

No unsanitary conditions.

If scabbing occurs do not pick.

Do not shave your tattoo until completely healed.

Do not exercise body part tattooed until healed.

If after healing tattoo looks dull, moisturize to brighten
-
If you have pets do not allow pet hair or dander to get into your new tattoo in can inhibit proper healing.

The client shall consult a health care practitioner at the first sign of infection, or allergic reaction, and report any diagnosed infection, allergic reaction, or adverse reaction resulting from the application of the tattoo to the artist and to the Texas Health Department, Drugs and Medical Devices Division at, 1-888-839-6676
