Case #1 // Gant vs. State
Investigator McLemee also accomplished what so few others in law enforcement have ever accomplished, in 2009 one of Investigator McLemee's computer investigations that lead to the arrest and conviction of an individual arrested by McLemee was appealed to the 14th Texas Court of Appeals, the 14th affirmed the defendants conviction and published its opinion making case law with Investigator McLemee named in the opinion 20 times by Justice Charles Seymore.
The published opinion not only addressed the manner in which Investigator McLemee performed his forensic examination of the defendants computer it also made note of and approved in Investigator McLemee's overall method of the Investigation including Investigator McLemee's search warrant, his covert undercover method of investigation, his execution of the search warrant including how Investigator McLemee worked the overall crime scene.
The 14th COP not only declared Investigator McLemee as a forensic computer expert but essentially did the same on search warrants, covert investigations and crime scenes.
